ETS/ATS drive test
Since it has been talked about a bunch but mostly just speculation other than the admitted difference in game scale from ETS to ATS I thought I woud test a bit.
I know one other person is doing a test at least, look foward to any additional results that people post here.

What I did in the test: Each game tested on a town to town 141 mile (NOT KM) trip using the quik trip and drove a "borrowed" truck. Drove each trip on both games at the same speeds regardless of speed limits(used american limits of 55 on highway and 30 in towns since I have speedo set in ETS to mph/miles). I auto parked at each location. The clock started with ignition and ended with hitting enter to autopark.

Things I noticed driving both that were apparent:
1) "Borrowed" euro trucks suck compared to thier American company owned trucks in power.
2) Even with comparable powered trucks and weight the euro trucks still "feel" slower but this may just be "feel" I did NOT do acceleration tests.
3) It is almost impossible to travle any distance in ETS at the test speeds of 55/30 without getting caught in traffic, Euro traffic is just alot slower.
4) In addition to #3, the speed limits are almost universally slower. With most roads that would be 55 in ATS having a mph speed limit for trucks of 37mph in ETS. I had top do extra euro runs to make sure traffic was not effecting any one trip too bad.

Results: On average the 141 mile trip in ATS too 9 minutes and 40 seconds. In ETS a simuliar 141 mile trip took 12 minutes and 9 second on average, 2.5 minutes slower than ATS. But it should be noted that every ETS trip was hampered by traffic in some way.

My personal thoughts: ETS is going to "feel" slower/bigger" because the game itself is just slower. The speed limits are slower, there are more towns ect more often, more traffic on country highways. Only on the freeways(restricted access highways(off/on ramps)) is ETS not slower unless of coarse your in Nevada with 80 mph limits. The trucks in ATS "feel" a bit faster but someone would have to do a test for this. This all would result in ETS feeling bigger. The reality they are pretty simuliar in size if you include the upcomming AZ as part of the ATS base you compare with the ETS base. But comparing land area is not a good thing in this case for a real comparision in actual size we would need to calculate how many miles/km of road is in each game.

Would also point out that after a few more states are added after AZ, we are all going to be glad that ATS drives a bit "faster" or the world feels "smaller" whichever way you prefer to look at it hehe.
