I hope they change some things over time... but it is still a good game.
lol Demon. I haven't gotten a ticket for my lights yet, especially not while still in the pick up zone lol. Just needs to be tweaked I guess :)
The changes in speed are not indicated. They have random small lengths of contruction zone... which has no sign and the speed limit goes down and back up faster than you can even see it, since you were zooming by at 55MPH.
They need to add indicators and better signs.
Also, have you noticed the other sillyness?
* Stop signs at traffic lights
* Short on ramps with yield signs
* Scales without closed/open signs, and rather has a pop up message
I'm sure there is a lot more as well.
There are roads in the game bigger than 4 lane (2 lanes each way). There is at least one road that I have found that was 6 lane (3 lanes each way) but they definitely need some larger roads.
It was 30MPH... then it jacked up to 55MPH for no reason for about 2-3 car lengths and then to 35MPH... wtf? Sorry devs, it don't work like that.
I think the devs need to come to America and take notes.
I have a feeling you guys are trucking in Early Access. Good thing I chose to wait for a while until one or two patches come, or maybe until Arizona is released.
indeed, i can't find a less than 4 lanes each way freeway if i tried.
that sounds like you're watching the wrong speed indicator and reacting too slowly to the change, i forget which, but either dashboard or gps HUD speedometer updates a fraction of a second faster than the other.
LGR mentioned that in his review that it seems Early Access. With a lot of random treads popping up it seems like this game would have benefitted for an Early Access release.
Oh, you misunderstand... it is still a great game and I'm glad to support them. I'd even pay money to have them visit America and take detailed notes of their obervations of the road system.
Their platform, even though it is limited using DX9, is a great one and works well.
I must admit, I too am a tad disappointed that the roads in ATS are just like our normal motorways. I was hoping that when I purchased ATS, I would be driving along those freeways with at least 4 lanes.
