Cargo and Trailer Variety
One of the things that bugged me with ETS2 was that there wasn't much variety in the kind of cargo (and how said cargo looked) you could pick up out of the box, and even today (without buying the cargo DLC). Fortunately, some mods fixed this in ETS2, notably Jazzycat's Cargo Pack ( http://ets2downloads.com/trailers/trailers-cargo-pack-jazzycat ).

It looks like the mod community is already tackling ATS - a good sign, given how new the game is - but for those that purchased already, how much variety have you seen with the kind of products you can pick up, and how many different kind of trailers are there without modding?

Many Thanks,

Not a whole lot of mods out yet, but I have picked up a pretty good trailer pack and some other individuals already.

There is a lot more variety than stock ETS2.

There are car carriers, tankers, standard box trailers, construction vehicles, and other types of deliveries.

The main difference is you drop these off where they belong e.g. A car carrier goes to a car dealership, a construction vehicle goes to a construction site, etc.

Also, some of the stuff you hauled in ETS2 was highly unrealistic for a commercia (civilian) trucker e.g. military equipment, aircraft, etc. This game seems to be more of a true-to-life simulator than ETS2 was which some people are having a hard time adjusting to, for one reason or another.

Awesome, great to know! I may patiently wait to see if Jazzycat migrates his various mods over to ATS (and to learn more of their world-building roadmap beyond Arizona) before dropping money on the game. I'll bide my time in ETS2 for now - thank you. :longhaul:
