HELP, will not stay in gear
I am using an xbox wheel and have gone through setting up the controls. I am using real automatic transmission and have set drive to be my up shift and reverse to be down shift. When I put the truck in either drive by pushing up or reverse by pushing down, the gear on my screen goes from D2 to N or R to N automatically. Basically I am stuck in neutral. How do I fix this?

That's not going to work. Shifter positions are momentary buttons. Map them to up and down shift and it should work.

This. I'd also recommend Sequential Manual as it is also a lot more fun (and not that difficult).

Up and down shift??

The way i fixed it. Using real automatic transmission. Under keyboard i maped shift up and down to my gamepad buttons i wanted. Under control I scrolled down to h-shifter options. unassigned the automatic gearbox: drive and reverse. bingo fixed.

Coming in clutch for a new player seven and a half years later. Had the same issue, unassigning the ones under the H shifter fixed it. Thanks, man.
