Is this game bad?

i thought about buying this game but I watched gameplay videos
and in this game we apparently have

- factory new 30's, 40's and 50's cars driving around every town
- 70's station wagons and 90's greyhound buses
- second generation crown vics everywhere
- school buses tailgating you for 150 miles
- road markings written in Impact
- highway patrol units that look the same in all counties and states (and consist entirely of second generation ford crown victorias)
- Las Vegas that is 2 blocks long

i played ETS2 so i'm familiar with the gameplay, but the above points put me off
who has the game - is it that bad as I think it is?

It's definitely not a bad game it's just really disappointing in a lot of areas (except the map detail). If you can live with its shortcomings it should provide you with many hours of entertainement, especially when Arizona and some other states (or mods!) are released

No its not as bad as you think it is,get it,play it for less than 2 hours and if you don't like it you can get a refund.

It really isn't bad at all. Obviously, the older cars are a little unrealistic, but they improved from ETS2. Sky/weather effects are improved, pickup/drop off points are more varied and make sense with the thing you are carrying.

Apparently they pretty much only used Google Maps. Fair enough, it's expensive to fly and travel the US from Europe but I wish they did some more comprehensive research to compensate. One gripe that sticks out is stoplights on an interstate!!

Besides, you didn't have to buy it. You should have done research first. We got what was promised to us, there shouldn't have been any disappointment involved.

Maybe it's because since SCS is doing our home country instead of foreign ones we notice the gripes more lol, which I'd imagine is what happened with you guys from Europe when playing ETS2

yep i think its true that everybody is noticing his own country. i was also dissapointed only see 5 types of car in europe but i focused on nice trucks which is point of this game.
