G27 Range Gearbox toggles?
Range gearbox with G27 how have you set up the Shifter toggle 1 & 2 buttons so it makes any sense with 18 gears?

I am refering to switching between groups of gears ie: 1-6, 7-12 & 13 -18.

It doesn't seem very intuitive, or am I missing something here, I hope so.

Ok so we are talking about the 4 red buttons, which are 0, 1, 2 & 3 going from left to right on my G27. I understand your confusion as I fooled around with it for over an hour, finally thinking that it might be a bad download so I uninstalled the game and reloaded it. Still the same confunsion, so checked out the old Eaton Road Ranger 18 setup and it was spot on. Went back to the Range Gearbox and found the solution. Toggle 1 button shifts between 1-6 & 13-18, while Toggle button 2 shifts in and out of the mid-range 7-12. It looks like we have to run up the gears to 6 then hit button 2 then shift into 7 then on up to 12, hit button 1 then shift into 13 on up to 18.
Coming back down just do it in reverse, just remember that until you hit the clutch what shows on the GPS is the gear that you are going into. I'm going to play around with the Range gearbox but will probably end up going over to the Road Ranger 18, even though it may look a little confusing it is what is out in the real world and once you get used to the rhythem just becomes 2nd nature.

Now if I could only figure out how to adjust the mirrors, as when I hit ESCAPE the ETS2 panel on the right hand side does not show up, so maybe I have to buy a truck 1st.

I thought I was going nuts because I was only shifting the odd gears (1,3,5, etc.) in the stock Peterbilt, and I knew something wasn't right.

I also figured it was the 18 speed Eaton RR config, but I have it set on the G27 shifter for the normal H-Splitter mode... So, this may be a bug in terms of gear mode selections?

I think for the 13/18 speed Eaton Fuller setup to work your truck has to be equiped with the 13/18 Speed Eaton Fuller transmission otherwise stick with the standard range selection.

The tutorial truck i think has the full trans but the trucks you drive that is not yours tend to only have 10 forward gears.

I use the left and right buttons on the dpad for these. In ETS2 I used the 4th of the red buttons in the shifter as I only ever needed to use one, but changed for ATS since I needed two, and used the 4th red button for hazards. It doesn't take long to get used to it, only issue is it changes depending on how many gears the truck has. Won't be an issue later in the game when you've got your final truck.
