If your truck has hood mirrors, just remove them. They just make the game run worse and don't help much.
I would imagine, given I have been in these forums since the game was released, that the relatively low number of complaints about this, that if it WAS the game, there would be a tsunami of posts like this every day. There simply aren't.
Why not try capping the frame rate @ 40 fps?
The game absolutely does not need to run at a frame rate higher than 30 fps, it isn't Call of Duty or any kind of highly paced shooter. As long as the fps is consistent and the gameplay is smooth, that is all that is needed for a great gaming experience.
High-end GFX cards are great, but they can still be configured wrongly and be unable to deliver what is expected.
EDIT: 30 FPS maybe is enough, but with that low framerate you could have hard time to read singposts/ road sings.
Nonsense, many people do...this game is not graphically challenging to even a modest system.
Absolute nonsense.
I run a modest Ryzen 5 2600 and RTX 3060 12 Gb and I get 60fps in ATS and ETS2, without the slightest sign of lag, stuttering or any other problems, in any part of all the map DLC with high/ultra settings, SSAO turned on and scaling turned up. I monitor the fps with Riva Statistics Tuner on all the time, any errors would show up even if I didn't notice them.
If you get any problems like those with a 3060, your problems are not with the GFX card, but your PC and settings.
You'd need a modern AAA game played @4K and ultra detail, plus ray-tracing to slow an RTX 3060 down. Get real.
My modest system: Ryzen5, 16gb ram, gtx 1650 @ 1440p
I had everything at high or ultra, 300% scaling. Game looked good but stuttered when turning corners and other laggy bits.
Then a few weeks ago I saw this at SCS Forums:
https://forum.scssoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=323193
Immediately, I could run scaling at 100%, disabled SSAO, SMAA, and the game looks amazing. Dashboard is just as sharp and clear at 100% as it was previously with 300%, in fact probably better.
It's a .dll that's placed in the game directory. The author, snowymoon updates the file within hours (sometimes minutes) of game updates.
It is, for me, literally a game changer. It might be for you too.
