Stubbville isn’t real; the Amtrak Southwest Chief runs from Newton, KS to Chicago which is why they took it - Amtrak obviously didn’t want to show their real train breaking down in a field, so the producers leased an ALCO C425 road switcher and applied a fake “Contrak” livery.

I don’t think these had steam generators for passenger car heating, so they’d have never pulled a passenger train, not least of all in the -11°C temperatures when they filmed the scene!
