That said, your post makes it sound as if you just recently installed G-Hub, and that you were previously not using G-Hub, but the wheel was working. Am I reading that correctly? And, If I am, does that mean you are using Steam Controller Inputs, and have previously configured your wheel thru Steam Controller setup?
Logitech G HUB works perfectly with a G29. Maybe there is an update?
Yes that is correct. I have never used it before until I started googling and seeing that a lot of people were saying to download it. I uninstalled it, and the wheel still doesnt work. I dont believe I have tried to the Steam controller set up. I never had to do that before cause this has been the first time I have had an issue with the wheel
My options are Ps3 or Ps4 on the top. I have always had it set to PS3 since I Got the wheel and it worked perfectly. Should I switch it to PS4?
DO NOT use "Steam Input" .. SCS themselves advise against using "Steam Input" even with just gamepads, because the game includes a VERY complete set of settings for just about any wheel or controller on the market.
Personally, I would suggest downloading and installing the latest version of Logitech Gaming Software. Do basic install, make all settings as "Default" when in setup on LGS. (edit: To use the wheel correctly, you MUST have one or the other Logitech software/drivers installed. I prefer LGS to Ghub).
There is a "correct" way to "hook up" your wheel. With PC powerd ON, and everything DISCONNECTED, First, plug the wheels power cord in to the wall outlet. Next, Start the LGS Software and then plug wheels USB in to your PC's best USB 2.0 port (USB 3.0 is fine if you don't have any older 2.0 ports) .. The wheel should "self Calibrate" .. Once that is complete, you can log in to Steam, start the Game Launcher, and then use the in-game settings to MANUALLY assign wheel and pedals controls (do not use the Wizard).
You must do the first bit every time you want to use the wheel (minus configuring controls).
1. PC On, nothing running, NOT on Steam.
2. Plug in Wheel AC power.
3. Start LGS Software.
4. Plug Wheel USB to PC .. let calibrate.
5. Start Steam app, and log in.
6. Start Game.
Edit: After reading Few Goose's comment, I went to Logitech website to verify, and INDEED the FAQ says to use PS4 for PC:\https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025339013--FAQ-G29-Driving-Force-Racing-Wheel
Not sure if there was an update in the instructions or if I misread some years ago. sorry for the bad info.
I have a G29, Win 11, you must set the slider to PS4. It's recommended that it's plugged in to a USB2 port.
[recently a friend of mine was having issues with his g29 on one racing game, he plugged in to a usb3 port and it fixed]
LGS or Ghub both work, as a matter of fact I have them both plus Logi profiler... since I have different peripherals, that is my only complain to Logi. Hardware wise I'm pretty happy
The G29 should also be connected directly to the PC's USB port and not via a hub. The latter can lead to problems.
