If custom assets needs to be changed it will of Course take a lot longer for the modders to convert their map (as they need to rebuild the stuff in the 3d modeling tool/texture editor they use.....or wait for someone else to update them), as when they just use already existing assets.
However it is always recommended to keep a vanilla profile for these occasions.
Vanilla has become my favourite flavor...it just works regardless of updates
Vanilla profiles are the Best. No mod problems. I have 2 profiles on ATS and on ETS2. All 4 have never had any mods attached to them and Never will.
As for the release date of 1.50 : the exact time would be "when it's finished".
Just go from there once that point in time has been reached.
