No. Pavel has said that they are following Route 66 for now.

Those states will come later.

Which makes no sense, as Route 66 is nothing more than a disconnected Tourist route in modern times. Route 66 has not been a main highway for 30 years.

Even if the route itself does not get heavy use, the highways that replaced it are some of the busiest.

Also after Missouri, Illinois is the only state left of the Route 66 corridor.

SCS is not required to make any sense to any of us, though, I don't doubt that they have their reasons for what they do :lunar2019smilingpig:
Happy New Year

Maybe they also want to connect the east coast like New York before expanding The north and south

Happy new year

Iowa and I-80 onto IL and east would be a great real time travel route . But SCS does its thing and have been good on what they have done even if its not what someone that lives and travels in the USA would always agree with

Obviously, you have never driven it. Maybe it is because I am old, but it has a lot of meaning to me.

I told people when they announced Arkansas this is more about getting more populated states than anything else I wish I could find my posts, but I'm not going to start searching for it.

To be honest looking back I'm shocked that Montana got completed before a lot of others and I think that was more about just having the western side of the U.S done more than anything.

If I had to give percentage chance of what states is next between Iowa, Louisiana, South Dakota because one of those 3 are next.

South Dakota stands at 20% chance Louisiana at 50% and Iowa at 30% chance. Really in my mind I'm think it's between Louisiana and South Dakota this next round.

People kept getting onto me because I kept mentioning how boring the Dakotas are to go through, and although I've never been myself. I think this is more about keeping hype up and neither states will keep that hype up. Heck it probably reflects in game, but the people(who happened to be real life truckers) so dead set on how great those states are and peaceful without the major cities etc, but they don't realize most people playing the game keeping the lights on at SCS aren't real truckers most likely.

I'll even bet that the least driven states(making deliveries I should say) right now are Montana, Wyoming, and New Mexico by the majority of players. Again this isn't saying these states are bad, and I do understand the argument about how much better to drive then driving in new york city.

As long as they announce three DLSc per year and keep the product quality I dont care if they follow with Loussiana, the Dakotas or Sinaloa, honestly.

They don't always release states up and down in a row. When I started playing in 2020, the map was basically crescent shaped stretching from Washington to New Mexico. There was no Idaho, Colorado, Wyoming, or Montana (in the order they where released), so if you wanted to drive from Seattle to Hobbs, you had to take a long route bypassing those states.

I just hope I'm around long enough to see La. get added. Be nice to see how they do the Superdome and the gulf coast. Not to mention Tiger Stadium in B.R. But I'll take any new state I can get.
