Did something get reworked with dirt roads and damage?
Was doing a delivery today and the entry to the drop off was a dirt road. I've driven on many dirt roads in ATS but this is the first one since the big new update.

I went from no damage to 15% damage in about a minute of driving at 5mph. My truck and trailer were jumping all over the place and taking huge damage for a pretty slow speed and driving safely. I've never seen it act like this before and I've driven to this specific location several times before.

Happened to me too, incurred 5% damage just driving to the pick up point. DeepGroove in Missoula

Damage on dirt roads is usually due to the bumper collision box, that is too big for some models; did you happen to change your bumper, recently?

There's also at least one truck with a collision box that will cause damage even without a bumper bar.

I noticed the damage down dirt roads sort of started when truck alarms started going off when you pass them at truck stops and prefabs.

Have you tried lifting the front of your truck? That's what it's for IRL ;) You'll find the keybinds in your settings. (EDIT: Granted not many trucks can do this IRL but still)

There is a known issue with the 5700XE when equipped with a bullbar. The bullbar sits a bit lower causing collisions with the lumpy road surface. You can try driving more to the edge of the dirt road or remove the bullbar. This was deemed "Not a bug" by SCS.

It's called damage and that's something that is lacking in ATS. Just wish there was actual visual damage and parts could fly off.

I'll have to recheck what my truck is set up as, but I haven't changed my truck in a hot minute and like I said, this is a recent thing. But I'll double check. Pretty sure I don't have a bullbar though, find them ugly as heck lol

More than likely this will never happen. In order for SCS to even think about modeling this type of damage they would need to go ahead from every single truck manufacturer for both games. Even then that is not a promise it would even be modeled.

Dirt accumulation though is not part of that. With all the new model truck washes in the game since Montana(Chrome Spa) we may see this in the game engine update that is coming in version 1.50.

This was confirmed on the Christmas Stream this past Tuesday, Dec 19.

Try raising/extending your truck's suspension to maximum height. If that don't fix it, address the issue in SCS forums directly.

This helped a lot. Still got a little damage, but not nearly as much. Seems to be the bumper I have. Don't remember having this issue before but maybe I just forgot
