There's a coast to coast mod, but you may have issues every time the game updates or the map changes. The company hopes to keep making states until they reach Maine and Florida.

Yes, there are such mods, but they are absolutely terrible, since the territory is made very lazily: no details, objects, landscapes, just a forest or desert with one texture. I made a two travels to Florida and Montreal and deleted this garbage.
Search "ATS Map combo 1.49" on YouTube for links and titles.
But besides that, there are good map mods such as Reforma(Mexico map), ATMX(very big fantasy island), Promods Canada.

C2C was never meant to be permanent so no need for detail, objects or landscape when all future DLCs will do that. It is a nice mod for players who wish to do the long hauls throughout the continental states while waiting years for the rest of the states to be completed.

Not in the south. When I used it the last time (played ATS more for achievements and events in vanilla profile recently) south and including AR, TN, VA was detailed, plus some attempts of improvement in an otherwise still pretty bland NY.

Coast to Coast is surprisingly good quality to be such a huge area made by a very small team (1 person?). I expected a lousy mock-up but it is not.

For example I have still not found any GPS discontinuities. In other ATS map mods I had difficulties getting GPS routing to work properly everywhere.

As other have mentioned C2C is aimed for the long distance haulers more interested in miles than detailed scenery. Northern part is very sparse but southern part is getting more detailed.

Recently Kansas was removed from C2C and replaced by the SCS DLC. All SCS DLCs are required.
