engine start/stop keybind can only start engine, not stop it
If I want to stop the engine I need to kill electricity instead.
I have E (Hold) for engine start/stop, and E for electricity.
I had tried with Shift + E (Hold) but it does the same thing. Does anyone ran into the same issues as me ? Or does anyone even bother at all with that keybind

It's not posible to stop the engine over the start button. You only can kill the electricity

Two conflicting awnser here. Red, can you confirm you can shutoff your engine with the start/stop key and not shutdown the electrics ?

Keybinds dont matter. You can't shut the engine off without killing electricity. Kinda stupid but it is what it is. A good number of versions ago it was possible but for whatever dubious resaon, SCS changed it to what it is now.

i play on a wheel also. my engine stop/start is bound to the a button

I might not be getting the question right, but here go's nothing, I use a G27 and the Start/Stop is bound to a button on the shifter and the Electric system is bound to the same button more or less, but I have the Lights bound to a separate button on the wheel and also the dimmer. I can leave the marker lights on the truck and trailer when parked for instants with the engine off, but the interior lights don't work as it is, seeing we don't have a separate "auxiliary power" position on the column to do that, like in real life.
SCS would have to add a third position for that to work or you would need to figure out a way to use the modifiers in the key binds to add it I guess, but I don't think you can do that seeing it's hard wired into the games.

If I misread your question apologizes.

Is it in a changelog ? Or it's a bug that's gotten un-reported ?

I have auto electricity set in gameplay options. I only use one button to start and stop my engine.

Why is this stupid? IRL you turn the ignition on, which turns the electricity on and then hit the start button, then you turn the key off which kills the electricity to shut it down.

If that's the case then american trucks are completly built ass backward. Because on a car it's a standard feature of being able to use all the electrics directly on battery instead of having to run the engine to get High beams or something
