If I didn't already have this gear I "may" consider Tobii but I would really like to try it first also because I use a Playseat rig for all my gear I am sitting very low, well my TIR is on top of my monitor so it's a non issue I dunno if that's possible with Tobii
Mine is getting pretty wore out but they are pretty expensive now to replace...
I still probably have my passive Hat Clip somewhere which would still work fine with TIR I would just have to switch in the software..

Even when I specifically say I'm not interested in ANOTHER TrackIR someone tries to sell it to me
I also had a Playseat Challenge that I used for racing/ATS/ETS, but it was way too low, so I sold it. It's made more for a console I think. I only paid $249 CAD from Costco for it, and sold it for $230 4 years later, so it didn't really cost me anything. I now have a NLR wheel stand 2.0 with an SHH shifter and MOZA handbrake (for Rally games). The only issue is that I also use my home built 'cockpit' to play DCS and IL2, and the wheel stand is quite heavy. It's a hassle switching them, and I need access to my keyboard. I'm trying to figure out an all-in-one solution...
They didn't let you return the ones that were faulty? Most seem to have had no issue with returns if they weren't satisfied. Try that with TrackIR
Mine's been great, no issues, and I have several times forgotten it was connected and violently pulled it out or ripped it off my headphones. Thus why I'd like to ditch the wire, but I'd never get a wireless one. Too many issues with wireless stuff in general, other than mice. My son has gone through three supposedly fantastic Steelseries wireless headsets that only last a few years before they start screwing up.
Hm.. Maybe you got me wrong. The two of thr first devices came as completely working devices, but with time they became faulty.
And for device that was not delivered, it s actually post office fault. Long story short, they "tried to deliver it to me" (lie) and aftrr some time they returned to tje seller. When I mailed them, they told me they never received the item. Awfull.
Ok, that's quite different then. I would have still cancelled the charge and certainly not ordered another one. In my experience, the post office (here in Canada anyways) gives you up to 3 weeks to pick up your item before they send it back. You waited that long? There was no tracking? You must have been unlucky (or abusive to them?) if they stopped working. I haven't heard of that before (on Reddit or anywhere else really), and as I said, mine's taken a lot of accidental abuse and keeps on trucking. Lots of issues with the software (Opentrack) that generally get resolved, but not 2 different devices just 'stopped working'. Why would order another one if it just stopped working and they wouldn't replace it?
My first Playseat was a Solberg Edition and was pretty much the "standard model" I sold it during hard times. So when I decided I wanted one again I looked on our used site and pretty much got lucky and found a Playseat with a G920 Wheel. pedals and shifter. He showed me the receipt and you could say I got the wheel rig/shifter free AND to cover the BIG question "how do I get it?" Well complete stroke of luck his friend was driving down here so I just threw a few more bucks on the price for gas..
Well it's an Evo. I have a destroyed spine(even some Titanium in it) and I can sit in it forever where even my "Ergo" Desk chair AND a gel pad I am good for an hour tops before my butt goes numb.
This real issues with Evo are the Wheel mount is mounted to the seat so you have no choice but to "leg over" getting in and out. The other issue which just boggles my mind having owned Logi wheels and a Playseat the Hard Mount Options are almost ZERO on this I dunno what gear it was aimed at but hard mounting is pure luck. I JUST got the new Logi G Pro pedals and they are AMAZING! and got lucky enough to get 3 of 6 holes to line up after a couple of attempts. But now that I heard first hand the G Pro Wheel is just as amazing I have one on the way. I can't hard mount this wheel the holes are obscured and the clamp for the Pro seems like an afterthought but may be my only option. But it does mean I can sell my G923 complete. I hope to have it on Monday
