How to add my Companys name and Logo on a Trailer/Truck? Where's that basic option?
I'm searching for few hours to add my Logo and Company name on my Truck or Trailer.. The Logo i use is original content.
all i found is some creepy software with virus addons..
I'm shure this must be a feature of the basegame, but i cant find that option for that customization ingame..
I know there are options to do it with photoshop etc, but that is such a basic feature, it must be very shamefull for SCS Software if this feature isn't build in the basegame.
Please SCS Dev's help me because this is the only annoying point in your game for me :D
Nothing for bad, i love you guys and your work :)
Regards
(sry for the bad english skill)
:hams:

Edit: Thanks to the great Trucking Community here on Steam, i use Photoshop, paint.net and ModStudio 2 now to create Skins and it's much fun :)

Thanks again for the kind and very fast response!

It creates the whole mod structure and you just have to replace the dds files.

All the templates are here:

An easy tool to paint driectly on the model would be cool, yes.

There are methods to paint on the model but it includes some work in Blender with the SCS tools.
Than you can export it to a 3D paint programm or paint in Blender directly.
Nothing you can do in a few minutes or with a few clicks.

But painting an the templates is usually good enough and has the advantage that you are only limited by the paint progamm you use.

The link you posted to Mods Studio is correct. It includes all the info and download/web-site links.

There is no such thing in the base game, you need to make a mod (or ask someone to make it for you).
Normally i would post a link here, but i'm not sure if the ones i used are still up to date.

If you want to be sure you're not downloading anything suspicious, you could extract the game files and go from there...by replacing SCS dds files, but that may just be more difficult for a beginner...

Unfortunately there is nothing in the game to enable you to skin your trucks/trailers.

Modstudio 2 is apparently a good programme for creating skins and SCS have made the blank templates for all the vanilla trucks and trailers available.

i have never been able to get the hang of skinning for this game.

i wish that there was a program available where you could skin directly onto a 3d model of the truck/trailer and then export the results as a mod file. i would even PAY for such a program

In this post from earlier today there's a link to a truck paint tutorial that apparently works for current version:

Ben's Easy modding is a very powerful and helpful program if you know what you're doing.

yeah i was trying to install it, but my anti virus and the windows was telling me that some harmfull or untrusted datas are included.. i'm not a pc crack so this sounds not okay for me. it's just a image editing tool if i understand it right..
i don't get it why the installer wants to download additional files to the "offline installer" i downloaded ;)
maybe i have just to much fear to install it :D
i got no warning while installing Modstudio 2..

It does far more than image editing. You can create economy mods, mods to relocate mirrors and route advisor, etc.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
