Can't sell modded trucks
Hi, I want to try getting rid of some trucks that may be causing issues but how can I "sell" the truck and parts if the game always crashes when I try to go into Truck Manager?

If you removed the mod prior to trying to sell the truck/or modded parts that can cause the crashing problem. If this is the problem redownload the mod, sell the truck, then remove the mod.

@Fearagen no, the mod is still in the folder.

Are the mod still enabled in Mod Manager?

I think they should be enabled (if possible) before selling. Not sure though since I don't use truck or truck parts mods myself.

Yes, they are still enabled and have drivers using them. I go to click on the truck in truck manager and crashes so I can never get around to selling...

Copy and paste your game.log.txt file(do not copy the game.crash file) to pastebin.com and provide the link here in a reply. This must be from right after a crash.

If too big for one paste, make multiples.

Log is located at Documents/American Truck Simulator for a default install. If pastebin is not available in your country please use http://rentry.co and post the link to it. The page works like pastebin.

Is your computer using OneDrive for the default Windows "documents" folder, even if you did not ask it to?
Windows will use OneDrive as the default documents location and ATS/ETS2 will not run correctly if it does so.
Stop using OneDrive:
Microsoft official instructions to remove OneDrive:

The "home" directory for the game should be the documents folder on your C: drive.

Move the home directory to the normal location in the documents folder on your Windows system drive, usually C:\, and copy the ATS folder there.

Start a new, unmodded, vanilla profile
(you can have as many as you want) and test the game. there are so many mods causing errors and warnings, you will have to sell each individual mod and remove it from the game, then delete and unsubscribe from any mods that are out of date or incompatible.
This is going all to be impacted by the upcoming 1.49 update, when it arrives soon.
If you don't sort it out now, it will only get worse, as the 1.49 update will possibly make even mods that currently work crash the game.
Mods are unsupported by SCS, they are entirely your responsibility.
Mod authors do not always maintain mods and keep them up to date, any new game update has the potential to break every mod. Workshop mods and third-party mods have NO guarantee of working, either on their own or with other mods.

Thank you, I know it's a mess! And I was very unwise in the beginning by saying "yes" to onedrive in the first place. Then when it gets full, it's very hard to move anything.

I do have a vanilla profile that seems to work fine - can I just delete this mod profile completely and then just unsubscribe from the things I don't use (and delete the non workshop ones from the mod folder)?

If you are not concerned with saving the Profile, yes, you can just delete the entire Profile without harm to other profiles.

That's good to know, thanks.

Back in the day I remember having a few mods break, but the broken truck could still be sold because they used to load a stock placeholder truck when an error occurred. In ATS it was a generic scania, in ATS it was a Kenworth T680 daycab.

Guess that safety net doesn't work anymore with all the updates and newer mod support that came after it

No, a generic Iveco Hi-Way and a Peterbilt 579 :steammocking: Basically it is the lowest spec version of the truck you choose when making a new profile. Have always used local profile and mod storage though. No idea what OneDrive possibly messes up here but it does mess up ATS.
