Game's screen going black all of the sudden.

Hello, my game has been acting strange lately. I've uninstalled all mods, and it's still happening. Weirdly enough, it seems to happen whenever I drive my W900 because I played with my 389 and the screen didn't go black until I changed trucks. It's worth mentioning that all the noises and commands respond normally even though I can't see anything. Another thing is that no matter what button combination I use, it only goes back to normal if I change windows to get out and into the game again, only to go black again. I've started the game with DX11 to no result. I hope someone can shed some light on this.

Did you sell all the modded stuff before removing the mods?

Just removed them. Dang it... Do I have to install them again and sell the stuff?

Possible your cable went bad.

I don't think it's a hardware problem since it only happens with one truck. Running out of options here as to what the issue might be. Thanks for commenting.

If the W900 was modded and you disabled the mods it can cause the truck to bug out. May have to sell that W900 and rebuy.

Try just putting the mods back in and see if that helps. Be sure to sell them in the game mods before removing them.

Before you go crazy adding selling or any other suggestions......

I have the same problem with the same truck.....and I have or ever had any mods. It started just after the last W900 update. Since I changed tractors I've had no problems.

Thanks to all of you who reached out with a possible solution. The truck was not modded at all and the mods I had once installed were the Viper 2 Pete 379/389, the Decepticon skin for that same truck, and the realistic vehicle lights. I have since uninstalled everything and sold the aforementioned truck (The Decepticon Peterbilt).

Dobrt, my man, that sounds much like what I have been experiencing and the timeline also matches, what else is there for us to do besides using different trucks?

If you can reproduce it in an unmodded game you can report it as a bug an SCS forum.

Another thing to try is change it to a different cab and chassis and see if you still have the problem.
