Raise/ Lower axles?
So i found out that you can lower and raise axles in ATS. When i try the key mapped to this function, nothing happens. What am I doing wrong? Is it only on some trucks? If so, what trucks?

You need a specific chassis. Look for those marked as liftable axle (mid-lift or tag-lift) in the upgrade shop.

ATS has no chassis with lift axles! only ETS2
oh. thats weird that they still have the button to map with.

If you have a mod truck with a tag- or mid-lift chassis it will operate correctly in ATS. :steamhappy:

Be nice without the mod buy the biggest frame and add drop axle. So if it in et2 I'll be hopfull till then I'll be okay with more trucks and states. =)

Wish you could slide the tandems on the trailer then a drop axle on a tractor . think about it in realality truckers are always sliding the tandem on the trailer .

We do not use Tag axels here in the state's except for companys who haulo HEAVY loads and specialty loads ..

Personally I'd rather we could slide the turntable (along with it's associated articulation joint) forward/back on the tractor, much more useful than moving trailer axles (unless they plan on implimenting per-axle weight balancing + limits enforcement).

I've never been a LTL driver always long haul my 53 foot trailer rear axle is almost always on the 5 or 6 hole back. That's for a full load then just play with the fuel weight which is 7 pounds per gallon if needed.. I don't think people want to deal with sliding axles in the game. Would mean the company's would need scales or scales with in a few miles of the company.

That's because this has taken 100% the controls and menu from ETS2. It's the same game just with a new map, all of the trucks removed and 3 to replace them all.

Only time I have to slide my trailer axles back is for loading reasons yes bounce when the forklift guy is entering and exiting the trailer

Right on! Seen 'em too. Those of you who haven't seen them, look up "heavy haulers" in some states like Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. You'll find trucks with a drop steer axle just in front of the drive axles pulling trailers with up to four axles. IIRC, they could gross 120,000 lbs with those things. I also remember seeing dedicated lanes for them on some of the longer climbs in Oregon.

There are bound to be mods for this at some point. (Yay! Let's simulate climbing a five mile long 6% grade mountain at <40 mph!!!)

My goodness, if we could do that, wouldn't SCS have to implement bridge laws and length limits, as well?... and for each individual state?!

"Sorry, bud. You simply can't come in to California with your axles slid all the way back like that.... Here's your ticket, btw"

Sorry, couldn't resist!

Oh yeah I forgot about California Axle law guess you can tell I never head that way. When I worked for May trucking they had a arrow where your axles had to be roughy around the 5 and 6 hole though so wasn't a big deal.

We also run bigger stuff on the west coast as the east coast has lower tunnels and bridges. May trucking could only run there refrigerator trailers on the east coast as there dry vans where to tall
