How do I know if my headlights are on?
The dashboard is always lit so when I turn them on, there's no indication that they're on. Right now I either just hope I pressed the button twice correctly or go into photo mode to see if they're on.

Other than looking at the switch you could just turn your high beams on and see if they stay on.

Switch to main (high) beam. There is a dashboard light for main beam which only works if the headlights are on. (I drive an International but I believe this is true for all the trucks.)

Three comments, all awaiting Analysis .. Simple answer is to use the external camera and look at them, but your dash lights should not be on all the time, and should go on and off with your light switch.

One way is if they are on, oncoming ai traffic will flash there brights at you. I can see this even during the day.

W900 dash has four switches right side of dash. Just above the radio, theyre marked. If you toggle your lights the switches do move.

This, any other answer is making a simple one button push into a chore :lunar2019smilingpig:

Wait until nighttime and see if you can see anything in front of you. If you can, your lights are on. If you can't, they're not. :Owlcat_tongue:

I often use the F4 menu to see what light are on or off. Especially during daylight ght or twilight.

Other times I press L key a couple of times to see the effects from within the cab. L key has three srates: oIff, parking and low-besms.

To quickly test high-beams a coule of K presses is often enouhh.

Greatest stars are those telling how they can see and where switches are on the truck they drive without knowing what OP drives because they did not tell us...

At this point we all know very well that the Steam Auto approver bot massively sucks and that Steam is not willing to improve it even in the slightest. Not to mention that it absolutely fails at its intended purpose.

What are you blathering about? I didn't say anything about "where switches are", I said to use the External Camera, and LOOK at the headlights to see if they are on .. we all have the same game, and the game HAS an external camera .. several in fact.

What truck the OP is driving does not matter one bit, if you use the external camera .. Perhaps you quoted the wrong post, or are you just trying to start an argument?

Yes, because one key press to change Camera view is WAYYYYY more work than one key press to activate high beam lights. :steamfacepalm:

I haven't played with every truck in ats, but the ones I drove all had something on the dashboard that lights up when you turn the light on, usually an icon, also every car and truck i drove irl has that.

Side question to OP, are you talking about a truck mod or an scs truck?

Referring to you, not attacking you at all... Fair to say, at that time the three posts you also mentioned to be on check were already visible.
