Well, all the trailers I've come across in my 20+ years of driving, with the gear on the driver side, none and I repeat NONE have rotated the opposite of what I have written.
I have seen cranks on the passenger side but those are usually containers so I can't attest to their rotation. I can only assume the opposite direction is logically the case.
The only difference I have experienced is the low to high gear cranking setups on some trailers.
If you have genuinely encountered that what I have said to be less informed, I would love to see a video clip proving me in error.
And not for the sake of saying "Ha-Ha" but for informational fact.
