When you do set this up transmission must be on H-Shifter.
Shifter Toggle 1 is the Range Selector.
Shifter Toggle 2 is the splitter.
Shifter toggles use switch mode box must be checked.
ETA: if you use any of the Eaton Fuller transmissions in the game...10, 13, or 18 speed, then you will not want to assign any "shifter gates" as these are already set. If you don't happen to know the shift pattern then I will suggest looking up an image online of the pattern.
2. Rename the files "global_controls.sii" from the folder "...Documents/American Truck Simulator", "config.cfg", "config_local.cfg" and "controls.sii" from the folder "...Documents /American Truck Simulator/profiles/[cryptic name]" (e.g. add _old). Will you then see the switch in the selection?

Good ole Steam at again.
I don't know if it'll help you guys situation, but I also have one I got on amazon that's a proper eaton shifter knob, and I had to unplug and plug it back in whenever I started my PC up or it wouldn't be detected. I bought a switch so I didn't have to unplug it anymore, and just toggle it.
Also when started the game I always toggle both switches once after the games loaded up or it won't read properly.
I'd try unplugging and plugging it back in first, BEFORE starting the game.
