Endless Detours

So yeah. I came across a detour that rerouted me to another detour which ended up rerouting me back to the first detour, which of course, would have rerouted me to the second detour, which would have rerouted me to the first. So, I just plowed through to continue on. Such an interesting encounter.

You can also just reroute manually. Your SatNav doesn't know that there is a detour so it will very likely send you back to the detour.

Yeah, I know lol. But usually after the first detour it fixes the problem. But not this time. I decided to just ride in on the side. Found out it was because a car hit an 18 wheeler and a lot of the cargo came out. Apparently the second detour was going to reroute me ahead of the first detour, but because of the wreck, there was another detour lol.

I have the detours turned off because they will reroute you 100s and 100s of miles out of the way. In real life the route you on a few miles and then back to the HWY.

I find detours in the game to be very rare, even with the game options slider set to maximum.

They're common enough, but yeah, I got one the other day that just looped me right back to the detour. No second detour, I just got sent back to the highway at a point before the detour. I've also experienced detours that route you hundreds of miles in the wrong direction. Probably should just make it a habit to check the map and chart my own course any time I come across one rather than trust the GPS.

Even IRL GPS can be unreliable at times. I've heard from more than one delivery driver bringing stuff to my house that the GPS tried to drive them straight into the nearby canal.

Yeah, I just gave up on detours. I just had detours that cut off my only route to my destination from multiple directions.
