Texas 2 update
I have heard that there is a Texas update called Texas 2 and it's free. But I am not sure if it is really more of a mod or what. I noticed that a guy has worked on it, and it extends some highways in Texas. The update would add 66 miles to US route 75, and it would have not only extended several roads in northern Texas, but I noticed that it would a mile or two of more highway in Colorado. It could be that maybe SCS could be wanting to tease us. Now I am not sure if this update will be automatic or would we have to download it. I do see a splendid idea for another Walbert to be added. That is because there is one in Sherman, TX.

Something I learned about Texas 2
By looking at a map of the upcoming update which is Texas 2, from one point, it looks though if they are adding some forgotten roads and highways. And from what I saw on US 75, it looks though if they added another deliverable business in the city of Plano which is a suburb of Dallas. My uncle spent his last years near the town of Garland, Texas. To me, the map someone drew looks though may be a teaser. But at least we would get to see the roads and highways gain a few extra miles. One town I noticed that they didn't add to the update was Sherman, Texas. I think there is a Walbert in Sherman. But I am not sure if there will be any places to pull over and rest in either Sherman or Shamrock. I do like what I am seeing.

Nope. The Northeast part of Texas will be added later on. That was confirmed by the Texas Map Lead during the release stream.

ETA: This should include part of Texarkana. If I remember correctly it was mentioned during the live stream.

So the Texas DLC isn't fully Texas?

No, it really isn't hence it was called Texas 2.0 by SCS themselves. Because of the sheer size of Texas and to get the state released the Northeast part of the state was left out.

They may even add something to the east of Dalhart/Amarillo since there is some open area there too.

Texas 2.0 Update
Hey. I heard that I would have to wait until the game goes to 1.48 but I am not sure if that is true. I saw a map with the version indicator set at 1.47. But I wonder if that is Open Beta or if it is really 1.48.

Texas 2.0 vs. 1.48
I thought that with the coming of Oklahoma that the update from 1.46 to 1.47 was all that was needed. But now I hear that we will need 1.48 in order for Oklahoma to come. But also the Texas 2.0 is also an update. Now I also heard on SCS that someone said that 1.48 would have to happen in order for Texas 2.0 to occur. By looking at one map of Texas 2.0, there will be for sure US 75 branching northward from I-30, and I-30 extending east to Texarkana. Plus some places here and there of US 67. I know that C2C does push 30 east of Texarkana and it does also push US 69 past US 82 and on into Oklahoma. I am watching the Steam updates and hope that Texas 2.0 does come. There seems to be only one industry in the Texas 2.0 update that is proposed to be on. I think it may be in the Dallas suburb of Plano but I am not sure.
