Several large garages making 0% and drivers all idle/resting, not taking jobs
So as the title suggests, I have several large garages (Vegas and Helen for me, plus Cheyenne is very low % but with higher ranked drivers) that make 0%. I've swapped the drivers to other garages, replaced the trucks, etc. The garages just seem permanently low. The only other thing I can think of trying is selling the trucks, the garage, and fire the drivers, then redoing everything.

Anyone else have trouble like this? Something they may have done that helped them?

Just like real life, there are some winners out there. LOL

Give it time....I had to sell some garages, reopen and rehire drivers and swap trucks... it took a few tries and then it slowly started to produce some reasonable results... keep an eye on the training for the drivers and what skills they need to hone on... or you can set them on 'balanced'...

oh and remember that the drivers will get jobs and produce income only while YOU are playing the game or the game is active.. one option is to let the game run even though you are are not driving and see if you get them going... let me know how it went... :-)

Thanks, but I know about the training, the game being open, etc. I've got like 20+ garages already lol. I've got almost 200 hours playing the game.

I've just never ran into an issue where a garage or two earn 0% and the drivers are constantly idle/resting and never work. I've given them trailers, swapped the drivers around, etc. I know to wait several in game days too for the drivers to start working as well. So figured I'd ask here to see if anyone has run into it and found a solution.

I've heard users saying that some of their drivers are just plain lazy and some are hard workers. It's the same in real life. Perhaps the game is simply replicating this.
You can try firing those 'lazy' drivers and seeing what the new employees do from that same garage.

OK.. other than what I mentioned above that worked for me, I am not aware of a quick fix... thx.

yes I had to fire a bunch and get new ones... but the ones fired come available again.. so stay away from them for a couple of hiring sessions... lol

Which is understandable. But the same two garages, even with drivers that have been swapped between garages, etc? Still earning $0 and at 0% productivity. I think it's more that the garages are glitched at this point.

are you running 1.46 or 1.47?

That's possible, but also check what skills the drivers in those garages have. Check the available jobs in the area. If the drivers are skilled at hazardous cargo like fuel etc, and there's no gas companies in the vacinity, they'll be idle a lot.

Have you tried with just a basic truck and no trailers? I've read anecdotal evidence that you can give drivers too good a tractor unit for their skill levels in ATS and we've seen in ETS2 that the wrong trailers can result in drivers not being able to find any jobs.

I have the same problem and I've noticed in 1.47 version. I don't know if it was happening before.
It's like all gets tainted, driver, truck and garage, I've tried swaping drivers but that doesn't work the new driver starts being idle all the time, and the allready lazy driver won't work in the new garage tainting it, same for the trucks.
Only solution I've found is to sell everything, drivers, trucks and garage, and buy new ones, for the moment I can work like this, none of the fired drivers has turned up again, and I avoid the allready discarded garages, but at one point this is going to be impossible. I don't know if a re bought garage will work.
I play with no mods, even tried to check all game files but to non avail, I have around 60 drivers and 20 garages.

I wonder if you've checked your in-game messages to see if your drivers are complaining to you about something.

Never had this issue, all my drivers are making more money than I can spend and that's only fifteen or so garages. I mean when they first started they weren't making much, but they level up so fast I'm rolling in dough. I could care less, not into micro managing NPC's.

I figured it out. It has to do with distance. If your new hire drivers are in a small town and they have no long distance skills they will stay idle. If you move them to a big city they find work immediately. I start my new hires in big cities with plenty of jobs available then rotate them to small towns like Roswell for example once they level up. Hope this helps.
