American Truck Simulator Map DLC Clarifications [blog.scssoft.com]
In this blog it is posted:
The general consensus will be once they reach the smaller states east of the Mississippi that we should start seeing state packs, or multiple states in one DLC.
We, the player base, vote on continuing development with our wallets. This simply means buying the official map expansions even though they are not a required purchase.
As for the other two: Won't come anytime soon from SCS. They have their hands full with ETS2 and ATS so managing a third game is pretty much a no.
Excuse my ignorance, but since this is American Truck Simulator, wouldn't the playable area remain in the U.S?
It is not unusual to see our trucks with 1,000hp. They are not any faster but pull extraordinarily heavy loads.
In the mining and general freight area's where we have Triple and Quad road trains, 100 to 150 tons need to be carried sometimes over long distances as well as 100s upon 100s of miles on dirt and gravel roads.
It's an extraordinary environment and brutal on all equipment and men
I would love to see this project happen, I think it would be very popular due to the extreme trucks and the nature of Australian infrastructure less........lol
It is American Truck Simulator, not USA Truck Simulator. And for the most part, the really relevant part are US, Canada and Mexico. I'm not too sure about this, but despite the "American" name, it may not include South America, for the reasons that they actually have a separate licensing, like how Oceania (Australia & New Zealand) does
We can Truck on Australian Roads now with Australian Maps and Australian Trucks all done by Moders in World Of Trucks .
I would rather pay SCS to make official maps and trucks to keep the trucking community alive and well
The _vast_ majority of Australian trucking uses the same kind of trucks and trailers (except maybe more B/A-doubles) as the rest of the world, on normal roads carrying normal loads. What you're talking about is a very very small percentage (which is why it gets sold as a "reality" TV show, in the same way that Deadliest Catch is not indicative of most of the commercial fishing industry in America)
