Ultrawide monitor suggestion?
Hello everyone, I'm shopping for an ultra-wide monitor and I'd like to know your suggestions for those who have one. Also, does the game support this type of screen? I've found very little information on the subject.
My budget is between 500 and 700$.

Thank you and enjoy the game!

Going by support yes, this game perfectly runs on ultrawide ranging from 21:9 to 32:9.

5120x1440 32:9:

3440x1440 21:9:

This will sort of help with what you may want, also have to make sure your desk has enough room if you're going for the 32:9 screen as it is 49 inches, not small by any means, and is the most expensive and probably sits up to above 700 dollars right now.
3440x1440/21:9 which was 34 inches is more accessible for smaller desk and is a perfect middle ground between 16:9 and ultrawide.

Products:
The 3440x1440 is a Lenovo G34w-10, I got this for 300 bucks but now it is marked up to 600.
The 5120x1440 is a CRG9 not sure which exact model. These are by default at 800 dollars or above even.

Would I be able to see both side mirrors with 3440x1440 monitor?
straiton Jan 21, 2024 @ 8:23pm
im using a CRG9 . I can easily see both side mirrors
No Track IR, i use two buttons on the wheel to look fully left/right for hard 90 turns, and the spacebar to snap back to centre
by default, as a single 5120x1440 screen, the view tends to stretch off to each side and is not strictly correct. Trucks and cars are extra long etc in your peripheral vision. I think the game needs some internal SCS alteration to properly support SUW screens
I have added a "fisheye" correction, which i found on this forum, which treats the screen as a triple, and its a lot more realistic but adds a bit to the graphics workload (less fps)

Even 4k screens have issues with the stretching at the edges.
I also use a 5120 screen, can yo provide a link to this fisheye correction?

Edit: Found it, tried it. Made things much worse. It reduced my field of view (which would reduce fisheye as it removes the areas most affected). Without the fix, I can see my right mirror using 85 degree FOV. Without the fix I can't see that far.

Curved LG UltraGear 34GN850 34 inches 3440*1440 at 144 Hz with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 on DisplayPort.

Best decision ever (for me).

Dell S3422DWG 34" 4K 165 Hz Refresh.

Amazing! Place one or two small monitors on each side for additional immersion.

Where does a video card come into play? I was think of going ultra wide too but I only have a RTX 3070.

3070 is way more than enough to run ATS on Ultrawide at 4k.

I think the main drawback for OP is not the type of screen, it's more the budget. Then again prices may be a bit different where he/she is at, i dunno.

Not to burst anyone's bubble here.
I gamed on an LG 34" ultrawide for
Like six years straight. Last year I switched to an LG Oled 42" TV as my main Monitor.
I'm not sure if i can go back to an ultrawide. I really thought going back to 16:9 would not pay off, but i guess the real estate of the large screen is what made it nice. The immersion level is great.

I use three 27" monitors (almost 80 inches) and its great. I can see out both side windows. Granted I do have to use surround but since the nvidia driver 546.33 no problems at all ever. With borderless screens its much cheaper than a 55" if one were to want a screen that large.

pic doesn't really show but they are positioned to side windows wrap around me
