Warning Sound

Can I turn off the annoying warning sound that is made when I turn on my blinker next to another vehicle or an object?

Interior sound volume slider. Be warned that this also turns down turn signals, etc etc etc.

I would say just switch to another truck, but it does seem like the sound is going to the older trucks. Bought the Peterbilt 579 and it also has this now while the rest of the truck is unchanged. I don't mind it myself but considering that was about the only way apart from turning down the interior sounds like AyMazing suggested. Those who hate it only have one option now Lol. Maybe if enough people complain about it there will be a toggle switch in settings for just the sound itself.

I hope so. As it is now some trucks are unusable. Just including a checkbox to tick to turn off alarms would make things 100x better.

You would think there would have been a toggle switch first day this blind spot beeping sound was implemented but I guess not. To some it may be useful but to me gets annoying especially when I am backing a trailer trying to focus and there is this beeping sound going off constantly like I don’t know I am near object by looking back at the passenger side mirror. At least the 2014 VNL doesn’t have this yet. One of my favorite fleet rigs. Just wanted to drive the 579 just to have some variety but will probably park it and forget about it.

What I mentioned above works without mods. Downside again is losing other interior sounds.

Found this nifty mod on the Workshop. It does remove the alert sounds completely. No need to activate emergency braking or anything else as I don't have them active.
