Which map mods do you guys like using?
I've never messed around too much with map mods, but I know there's a lot out there and have been thinking about trying them out. Which do you guys recommend these days?

I'm a noob when it comes to Mods. I only use one, it is the Signs and Company names one, adds to the realism of the game.

Pormods Canada and ALL state DLC's (if you have the money; sales are good time to buy these).

Is this updated with the current version of the game? Driving in Canada could be fun!

If you like 1:1 maps.. West Of Honduras is really good with lots of detail. You would make a 2nd profile to play it. You can have as many profiles as you want.

Coast to Coast is good, he actively keeps it updated to work for the latest version and latest states released

Alaska: North to the Future, ProMods Canada, Team Reforma: Sierra Nevada, Noreste, Los Altos, Pacifico, Great America by Voith, ATS Expansion by Recon Lobster, Oregon Utah-Washington Expansions, SCS map improvements: Bellingham Heights.. The links to all of these maps are found on GMC Logistics web page. I tried Coast To Coast for around 2 hours, I appreciate it's quantity but not the quality.

Does ProMods Canada have any coordination with the North to the Future team so that the roads match up? I don't really want a Canada map, but if it allows for an over land route to Alaska, it would be worth a download for me.

Are these compatible with each other? Or do I have to pick and choose?

ProMods Canada is currently only the southwest corner of British Columbia and have a loong way to go before even reaching the Alaskan border. No I guess that ProMods team will not have any coordination with any Alaska team for several years.

Maybe other Canada map mods can be used for transit to/from Alaska, IDK. The more "quantity over quality" type of map mod maybe? Or at least a ferry connection between Alaska and the lower 48 US states.

A good working load order that is updated regular after patches and new content can be found on https://forum.scssoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=292914, It is based around a combination of C2C, Reforma and ProMods Canada. It does not have the links to the mods but they can be found fairly easy. For many mods you could opt to use Trucky, a mod manager for ETS2 and ATS that runs in Overwolf (yes it requires 2 pieces of software) but it also gives you some overlay options and if multi screen is available, it can display MP info (if you play that) on a second screen.

You can also set the game to a specific game version in the beta tab so game updates don't break anything until the mods are updated, this and ETS2 are some of the few games that allow this

These are all compatible with each other as long as you use all the 1.48 versions of them. However there is a very specific load order that they need to be in for them to all work, You can find map combo load orders with a google search,

The 2 maps that are incompatible with each other are Great America and C2C. That is the choice u have to make. Again though you could make 2 profiles, one with C2c and one with Great America to test them out.

search for ALASKA NORTH TO THE FUTURE – PROMODS CONNECTION V0.17...... this is a road that connects Promods Canada with 'North to the Future'. It is a long stretch of road with only a couple stops for gas/sleep. Its probably a boring drive as in IRL. But it connects to Alaska anyway.
