Trailer stays damaged
Hi, My trailer shows 31% damage when I press F7 key. If I go to dealer for repairs it shows 0% damage. I can't quick travel because it says too damaged for quick travel. Head back to service and even though it shows 0% I hit repair. Come out of service, hit F7 and it shows 31% damage. How do I fix this?

Just to update, I'm not using any Mods.

Have you tried dismissing the trailer and then recalling it?
Last resort would be to just sell it and buy a new one.
I've never seen this happen before and have repaired trailers a number of times.
I would also guess that if any of the AI use it, that it would get repaired but it might take a while for that to happen.

One last thing was this all in one game session? sry to offer the classic "did you try restarting it" but yeah.

Good luck to you hopefully it's a cheap trailer if you have to sell.

I have dismissed and then hooked back up to it. The trailer is marked private so none of my drivers grab it. I have used it in 3 game sessions like this. I noticed it yesterday morning then last night and its still the same today. I might try making it public so a driver grabs it I guess.

Sell it and repurchase, sometimes that works.

The damage persists because you changed the axle configuration of the trailer with damage. The only way to get this repaired is to put the configuration back to the way you originally had it and try to repair.

Otherwise sell the trailer and buy it again.

Trying using another truck to tow it and repair it.
Maybe make it public and let one of your drivers repair it.

I do remember something like this before happening and I think the above was the solution(s).

that's a good idea, I'll have to remember not to accidentally do that.

@AyMazingATS... That's what it was, I knew I remembered something about it. Old age I suspect.

The configuration has been the same since I bought it. I ended up giving it to one of my drivers and bought another Articulated Lowboy. Thanks for your reply!

Yep, I've got the same problem with a maximum length/weight capacity triple lowboy trailer. I've purchased SCS DLC, but I don't know if that constitutes a "mod'. I have not altered the axle configuration after purchasing the trailer. Purchasing a new trailer fixed the problem temporarily, but over time, the same thing started happening again.

I sent an email to SCS tech support, where they requested I send them my Config & Crash files. That was over a month ago, but I haven't heard back from them. :-(

Have you tried repairing it?

The solution might differ from the one by the OP here, as this was from 2023.
Since 1.49 the damage system has changed.
Evrerything you need to know is here:

Some of the trailer damage is repairable, but some (unknown) damage is not, and just keeps accumulating: F7 key stroke shows 7% trailer damage; Repair Service Centre menu shows 0% trailer damage. (?)

Some trailer damage is part wear and that can only be removed by replacing the parts.
And finally there is permanent wear. You can only get rid of that by full restoration.

As I previously mentioned, the Service Centre shows 0% damage. You can't repair/restore non-existent damage. F7 gives you in-cab damage report which does NOT correlate with the Service Centre menu damage diagnostic. I did not have this issue previously.
