mouse will not stop moving when i turn my steering wheel

i have tried resetting my mouse about 10 times and it will not stop working when i move my steering wheel can anyone tail me another way to fix this

Load the game. On the launchpad screen you click Options. Now click Controls. Scroll down to Alternate Mouse Cursor Controller. Click on Reset.

This is a common mistake that a lot of people make. A windows pops up to ask what to do with the controller when first detected. Mouse or Ignore. What needs to be clicked on that window if it ever shows up again is 'ignore.'
