You can try the external view and see if you can spot the flashing marker first but probably the best thing to do is load a previous save so it doesn't cost you the cash for cancelling the load.
No. The best choice is to switch to external view and try and find enough of the parking markers to sort out how the truck and load need to be positioned to complete the delivery.

This is exactly why I usually leave these types of questions for our resident pros and more dedicated players. Definitely learned some new things in this thread. Thanks for the info.
FWIW, I get all my jobs through the external contracts option so my experience further supports Pitts' theory about internal vs. external contracts and how their timing differences could very well be the source of this problem; since I've never encountered this problem or heard of it until now.
But to attempt a second answer the OP's last question:
If you are late, then autosave is potentially your best friend.
If you are time, then use external view to make sure you can't find the designated spot to complete job.
If your are on time and can't find the delivery spot, then you've most likely encountered a program hiccup/bug and aborting the job is the only option you have according to what is currently known.
