Any mods that give better GPS?

I am (shocker for some I am sure) pretty happy just playing vanilla, have never used mods. The only thing that I would love to change is the GPS. No matter what option I choose shortest, best route etc, the GPS will have me get off at an exit to get back on the interstate. Or it will want to route me through an entire town just to get back on the same interstate, which actually takes longer, even if is shortest or best path. The best path to me anyway, would be stay on the interstate. (Which I do) LOL.

Anyway tldr version?
Is there a mod that uses a better GPS system? :)

I doubt it, the best you can do is check your route before you start off and set waypoints if needed.

... or If you notice that the GPS routes you onto an exit ramp and then back up onto the highway, simply stay on the highway...

I agree with above posts. It is also useful to set a waypoint on gas station, resting places etc (even a photo/camera view point if close enough)

I often set my own waypoints, you don't have to rely on the autorouting.

About mod, I actually don't know any that changes the system behavior, only its look. But about use, I share the suggestions above, the best way is setting up you way before driving.

Appreciate all the comments, that is what I have been doing is checking the map and re routing on my own, just would be nice not to have to do that for a change lol.
