New background music is impossible to turn off.

I started the game today after few days and there was some different music at the start, the problem is that music turns on every two minutes in background even if I turn off all sounds in the game it still plays or if I turn on the ingame radio - they play both. Thats for sure from the game, because if I close game window it turns off too. I didnt changed anything from last time when all worked good, didnt add new mod or something. Whats that and how to turn that music off?

Steam overlay has a tab open playing the music. Open steam overlay and close the tab.

I'm having the same problem now. I checked and there were 2 overlays running. I closed them and the only thing running is steam itself and ATS. The darn music won't stop. I have to silence the audio. Any other ideas on what could cause this?
Edit: I just checked in the steam settings and I made sure the music is turned off. EVERY audio setting I can find has been muted and the damn thing still plays till I shut down ATS.

Turns out it was a video from the last store page he visited.

Try going to a store page and muting the audio of that games video if it's not already muted.

I've closed everything but ATS and steam itself. EVERYWHERE I found audio settings I have muted them. It is annoying as hell and making the game almost unplayable. I hope I never hear that intro song again in my life. It only comes on when ATS starts and like I said all overlays are closed. It doesn't stop until ATS is closed. I hope someone can figure this out or I'm going to have to uninstall this buggy program.

If the developer sees this PLEASE disable the intro song or give us a button on the initial screen to kill it.

That is something in the Steam Overlay. Not the game. If you want to complain please complain to Steam for doing that.

Not the game, nothing for the devs to do, as has been stated so many times on here before, it is the STEAM overlay playing music, NOT the game.

I beg to disagree. I have nothing but the basic steam running and I have closed ALL other screens. The music plays until you shut down ATS. So your reply does not work for me. And if it's steam doing it then they need to shut it down.
I was going to get Oklahoma but unless They can figure this out (or me) then I'm holding off.

Have you tried to press Shift+Tab while in the game? Because that brings up the Steam Overlay where you very likely have stuff playing.

As I said before ALL steam windows are closed. Just for the heck of it I loaded Asphalt9 and the music was playing but u can turn it off in settings. Steam is NOT causing this. It only happens when ATS runs. Whoever the implemented this it was not a good idea without a simple setting to shut the damn thing off.
