I'd also suggest verifying your game files in case something got slightly corrupted in an update.
Most of the US trucks are longer and maybe heavier which has an effect on the steering itself (should also be noticeable in ets if you use an 8x4 there).....
Yeah I copied it over like we discussed last time roughly last year and that hasn't solved my issue and has been uninstalled until recent update. I also shared those text files last time or whatever and your solution prior also didn't help. This has been On-Going and for the record I'm not pissed off and it's not really a deal breaker cause ETS2 exists but its become kind of annoying when I don't wanna play ETS2 and my endeavor to make ATS stop wobbling my wheel has lead to no where.
Moza Discord also has no solution despite having 10k+ people and redditors just say to just turn High/Low Centering off in ATS and just use Pithouse Return-To-Center option.
If you wanna discuss this over Discord I am even more than happy to Stream for you the issue and settings cause ETS2 and ATS literally share the same settings both for Truck and Wheel yet ATS plays 100% worse.

This is the likely source, as nobody else is experiencing the issue you describe. I have a cheap Drift Oz wheel and have never come across anything like this happening.
Try the wheel as a controller without the proprietary software/drivers on a new, vanilla, mod-free profile, and set it up from scratch in the game. Disable the Steam controller option as well, the ATS controller set-up does not work with Steam controller on.
No, you are simply wrong because Pithouse isn't the likely source, why? because Forza 5, Grid 2 a bunch of other code masters games, AC, ACC, ETS2, and other titles I own don't use or even need filters to feel "good" in my hands. The data sent to the wheel is enough and I don't get wheel oscillation on 99% of my games EXCEPT THIS ONE! Within Pithouse outside of Steering Angle no other filters are on because they are artificial.
No mods are in the game either I don't need or use mods as they always break games during updates or the author died.
I had a similar issue once in ATS with my Logitech G29 wheel .. always felt like the trailer was "wagging" the truck ..(tail wagging the dog).. My solution was to use the in-game menus to "reset" ALL of my controls and keyboard settings, close the game, re-open the game and go to menus, and make one or two changes, save and close the game again .. with game closed, I then copied my (profile)Controls.sii and config.cfg and config_local.cfg from my ETS2 install to one my ATS profiles. I then had to go in to that profile, and make the appropriate changes to "localization" of US dollars and measurements, etc. but it did 99% resolve the issue for me. Once I had those configurations made, I closed the game again, and copied those 3 files over to my other ATS profiles so they all are alike.
This is exactly what I've been experiencing since I got the game. The Trailer wags the truck left and right even on straight a ways which somehow makes the truck and makes my wheel go left and right but when the trailer is removed it's not so bad or almost gone, but never completely gone. The stability of the truck and it's components were moved to 100% stiffness to see if that changes anything but makes it worse actually LOL
Unfortunately I've tried something along your lines of remedying my situation since DMCT RYU or whatever mentioned it about a year ago and I recently installed to try again when 1.48 went Live, I'll try your remedy in the exact order now just to see if it works.
I have a g27 wheel and also get the same oscillation. Just as you described reducing high centering helps but doesn't eliminate the issue. My wheel works flawlessly in ETS2 but not ATS where I have the issue. I've only had this issue recently when updating ATS to the latest version. I have reset all my wheel fb settings to default and still get the oscillation. I also don't use any mods. I only play 100% vanilla.
100% convinced its a bug. I did the config files and it's changed nothing except make ATS worse because ETS2 for whatever reason has godlike settings and transferring files doesn't translate well to ATS especially the truck settings like stiffness and so on.
What's insane this problem is all over Reddit Simucube and Moza's. I'm glad SCS released an update with the numbers cause now there is irrefutable proof without the need for Config files that ATS runs like ♥♥♥♥ compared to ETS2 for WHATEVER reason.
I'll give that to you cause that sounds the most plausible.
If you believe that it is a bug and not your settings, please do this:
Report any suspected bugs on the official SCS Forum at the correct place which is here:
https://forum.scssoft.com/viewforum.php?f=309
For ver. 1.48 only.
And to make it simpler for the devs to find the exact cause of the issue (and location) everyone reporting a bug should follow the bug report process:
https://forum.scssoft.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=16653
Please note: this is the Steam player to player forum, NOT SCS, the actual game developers.
