HORI Racing Wheel Apex for Playstation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC - Officially Licensed by Sony
Make sure the wheel has 900° of rotation. Anything less is not worth the problems it will cause.
I prefer Thrustmaster. Not nearly as many problems as Logitech stuff.
Definitely need force feedback. That's what makes it feel like you're driving.
If you're not getting FF you may as well use a controller.
LOL, Thustmaster has cheaper wheels. He didn't say you need direct drive base with a separate wheel. LOL
There's a big difference between a wheel and pedal combo that simply "works", and a wheel and pedal combo that substantially improves the in-game driving experience.
There's also a big difference in durability and performance between a wheel and pedal combo made almost entirely of cheap plastic, and one that is built more sturdy with higher quality components/materials.
I'd only buy the Hori if money was the ONLY consideration for the purchase, and even then, I'd do it reluctantly with very low expectations.
Anyone can laugh all they want, about the absolutely good information contained in the two replies that I've quoted.
All the laughing in the world won't change the fact that there IS a big difference between a "working" wheel and pedal combo, and one that actually enhances the game play of driving games - in the way that only a good wheel and pedal combo can.
Considered a direct drive wheel, but I only have a desk and not a cockpit setup and the DD wheel desk clamps are what held me back. But I'm very happy with the TS-XW and the increased FFB on it compared to the T150.
So, would you say the T150 would be a good entry level wheel?
- What were your experiences with the pedals? As far as I can see from youtube videos, people complain a bit about them? Are they stable on the floor and duarable?
Thanks for info.
The T150 RS Pro here cost very close to the T248, though - which seems like a better set?
Got myself a 2nd hand Thrustmaster TMX Pro for €100. Guy who had it had taken extremely good care of it, so looks like brand new
Thanks to all you guys pitchin in
The T150 and TMX are almost the same wheel with about the same amount of torque. I used my T150 for about 7 years and it worked great in ATS, ETS2 and racing games.
This website is very good when it comes to wheel comparisons: https://simracingsetup.com/product-guides/ultimate-sim-racing-wheel-comparison/
And this person's website is excellent for wheel setup and settings for the different games. I highly recommend it: https://www.briankoponen.com/simracing.html
