Turn signals and "proximity/parking" sensors going nuts.
Anytime I have my turn signals on in my Cascadia and there is anything next to me (trees, guardrails, etc), specifically when turning right, the sensors go nuts. Is there anything we can do to reduce this somehow? I'm about to stop using my turn signal in this truck. Maybe a setting where we can turn this on or off if the vehicle is equipped with parking sensors? Running public_beta...

That is the blind spot sensor. It cannot be disabled.

Not sure which sound slider in Options >> Audio will lower that volume. Truck sounds perhaps.

I wish you can turn them off. The new Volva has the same thing and pretty annoying.

That's like real life. New vehicle. I start backing out. Lady gets out of her vehicle. OK I'll wait. Alarms go off because she's standing next to me. Then she decides to get back into her vehicle to mess with her purse while standing there, alarms going off the whole time. I hate people.

If it doesn't kill your immersion you don't hear them in the outside view. If you're worried about immersion welcome to the real world.

It's not about reality or immersion for me it's about not being deafened every time I put my turn signal on preempting a turn, with literally anyone or anything on the side of the road regardless of what or where it is. Might as well pop a flash bang in my ear canal every time.

Yes, this! Doing this for cars makes sense, but every tree and thing along side of the road is a little much.

Is there a video showing what you guys are talking about? I never heard alarms set off in my truck because I was too close to something.

The is only available in 4 trucks right now. Volvo VNL 2018, Western Star 49/57X, and Freightliner Cascadia.

I have all of those and drive the Cascadia a lot and never noticed this. Is it a special upgrade maybe I don't have? The only "alarm" I can think of is the beep you get sometimes when you go over the speed limit.

To test this.....go to a truck stop. Easier the driving around with a car on your right.

Park next to a truck on your right. Put on your right turn signal. You should hear an audible beeping sound.

I just tried it in the Volvo and... wow, that IS annoying AF, lol. Was this added as part of a more recent update? I have driven the Cascadia since it came out for dozens, if not over a hundred hours and never heard this before. I found it is affected by the "interior sounds volume" setting, so mute that and you can disable it, but it stops your turn signals from clicking too, plus maybe some other minor sounds.

For some reason my Blindspot light goes crazy and starts the spasm even when I have my indicator off.
