Recruitment center
Hello ATS players. I'm new to the game and having a good time with it. At the moment I'm a tad frustrated cause I can't find a recruitment place. I know they are in the (?) on the map. I've went to one, all around and nothing. Help would be appreciated.

Not any town has recruitment agency. You need at least to pass through in front of their office to trigger "?" icon.

Not any "?" icon is recruitment agency. It could be a truck dealer (usually close to repair shop icon) or viewpoint.

Oh okay, that helps!

Sounds like in time I'll pass by one, correct?

as @madman mentioned, you need to drive past the Front of the Building to "trigger" discovery. (if bobtail you can pull in, sometimes convenient)
The icon identifying it will change on your map.

A bit more detail/what I do BELOW - as a new player this has been working for me. Of course feel free to ignore, just trying to help =)

When I arrive in a City and unload, I bring up my map and "deselect everything except undiscovered [?]" - this makes it less cluttered and easier to see where I need/want to go. The [?] could be a Truck Dealer or Recruitment Agency.

Depending on my needs at the time, I may also select on Map View: Fuel, available Garages (if I want to expand in this city), Repair (often in same lot as Dealership, but not always)

Wiki has a list of what cities have recruitment agencies, it helps to narrow it down BUT doesn't show actual locations. So for example, Arizona has Recruitment Agencies in: Phoenix, Sierra Vista, and Tucson.

Like you, I am having a blast, such a nice change from years of "fetch questing or pew pew pew games" lol. Always kinda ignored these types of games, but now I see the appeal of all the players who have been playing simulators, like Flight sims or more recently ATS/ETS2. I am not lumping GTA types to this, since that is kinda a different style game IMHO.

I just load up game, slide on headphones, crank up my radio and pedal down to my next delivery.... :longhaul:

Feel free to ADD if you want to chat more about game.

This was great info! I appreciate it. I'll have to try that stuff you had in the spoiler section.

Yeah definitely a nice change of pace. I ahve just got done beating like idk 7-10 story/open world games and I hit a wall and didn't play anything for a couple weeks. I've saw ATS for 4.99 for years it seems. And I always second guess it. Well I grabbed it, had to. My driving is above average but man my turning at a light with cars at the light as well makes it really tough. (with a trailer, normally a LONG trailer) and I am terrible at backing up. Other than that it's pretty fun. I love simulators but it's really hard to find a solid one worth your money, one you want to put a ton of time into.

Driving by on the freeway won't trigger it, it's too far away. You have to go into the town.

On quick jobs, after you pickup your load, or just before you deliver is a good time to just drive around the town to unlock stuff.

You have plenty of time to do it.

But if you think about it, the whole game is nothing but one continuous fetch quest, albeit the most fun I have had in a long time.
