Game won't launch, please help

i have not been able to play ATS or ETS2 for over a month, whenever i hit play, the game's "launch" and just stay on a black screen, and then immediately crash. I have been emailing with SCS back & forth and they have not been able to help. no other games do this. everything else works just fine

Go to Documents/American Truck Simulator. Open the config.cfg file with notepad. Scroll to near the bottom and locate these two lines:

uset cf_asus_aura "1"
uset cf_razer_chroma "1"

Change the "1" to "0" and save.

Report back and see if this works or not.

This same thing happened with my game also. Could you explain why this has fixed our problem? I'm genuinely curious.

Most likely issue is that you have outdated Asus Aura Sync/Armoury Crate software. What the above does is disable keyboard lighting effects that use Aura Sync/Razer Synapse color control on the keyboard.

Hmm that's interesting. Just recently, my Corsair light up keyboard stopped working. Won't show up as being plugged in on two different computers. I wonder if it's related. Anyways thanks for your help.
