Recommendation for wheel and pedals?
I don't have a lot of money so a higher end low price option or lower end mid priced option would be the sort of range I'm looking into.

The most important thing is the rotation degree. To get a good experience it has to have a minimum of 900 degree.
All the rest is bonus so to speak.

How much is not a lot of money?

There are quite some gaps between price ranges, if you're on a budget it might be wise to look for a used wheel.

I have the Logitech G920 wheel and pedals can be used on PC/Xbox
Currently running around $265 on Amazon (no shifter, that's extra)

Steering wheels that I recommend are from Thrustmaster. These are models T128(newest), T150 or TMX. These are all 900° wheels which is best for the game. They also provide great force feedback.

Others will recommend Logitech however they are not that great in my opinion. Yes they do work but in ATS/ETS2 but there are posts about constant problems with the wheels. They can also feel notchy and what little force feedback there is tends to be a noisy rattle in my opinion.

I do not recommend anything under 900° for this game. It is not worth the headache or hassle in trying to get them to operate properly. What I mean by that is that a small move on the wheel can equal a large move in the game.

I use a G27. They are old but the leatherwork on the wheel is awesome to hold on to. It also comes with a shifter. You might be able to find one on craigslist.

I got a G29 that works great (I don't use the Force Feedback).
Also, a TH8A shifter.
Around $270 or so.

I'll get some flack but avoid the logitech anything. My 27 lasted months and the 29 is based on the same mechanics. I blew it out for a T300 TM. I still have the logitec shifter. It's missing most of the gears but all the buttons still work. For functionality it's the best shifter but for usb interface youll need a patch cable.
Buy wisely- buying cheap could cost you in the long run.

I never had an issue with my G27, it was heavily modded to have 8 extra buttons and 2 encoders + a leo bodnar display. I also had magnetic shifters on it. Owned since 2012 and only replaced this year because I wanted something better for my sim racing.

Loads of people have Logitech wheels and have no issues, loads of people have Thrustmaster wheels and no issue, but you will always find someone has a problem with any wheel and it is usually not a fault of the wheel but them not understanding on how to set it up properly.

I have the Thrustmaster T150 and love it. Definitely try to get one with force feedback as it really improves the immersion.

Thrustmaster just released the T128 as AyMazingATS posted which has FFB and is probably their cheapest wheel if you want to keep the price down: https://traxion.gg/thrustmaster-t128-review-the-best-budget-gaming-steering-wheel/

I know what you're saying and I appreciate your point.
I was luck enough to manage to sell ALL the spare parts that were working quite easily on ebay.
Having the the advantage of seeing inside the wheel unit and the experience of selling off the parts I stand by my comments.

I've been using a G29 for five years and have had none of the problems everyone has been having. The only thing I have had to do is clean the debris from the inside of the pedals when they start acting up. Cat hair gets everywhere and in everything.

And sock & carpet fluff (I don't have a cat..)!! My G27 is so old the leather has worn through at the 3 and 9 O'clock positions, but still works brilliantly in ATS.

I have Logitech G920, this is the xbox and pc wheel, the G29 is PS and PC wheel model,. At this price point is an excellent wheel. Any Logitech or Thrustmaster around G29/G920 price is the best entry level wheel to really start with. All of the Logitech and the TM TMX Pro series and T248 have three pedals for those that want to get a shifter for manual transmission usage either down the line or from day one.

The Thrustmaster shifter is considered to be a pretty decent model, but it is not cheap and note that many Logitech wheel users do use the TH8A because it is much better than the cheap Logitech model.

There are much better wheels, especially for those that really get into driving in car driving and racing games. There is great value and better feedback with improved pedals and high torque motors for enthusiasts when you spend $1000 -$1500 plus - everything feels better but better lap times only come down with practice, regardless of the wheel that you use.

A thread on the cheap chinese PXN V9 wheels:

If you are in the market for a wheel around the price of a PXN V9, then just save a little longer or buy a decent (not cheap) controller.
