Other than mentioned by Red Wolf, when you do WOT contracts in game they have to be finished in a certain ammount of real life time, like you may have ,.. idk 16 hours for example so you can't quit the game mid delivery and come back a week later to continue, unlike none WOT contracts that are based on in game time that don't expire and you can continue weeks later.
Also World of Trucks will save your job stats to your public profile page where you can also show some of your screenshots.
All details of the job are kept in your WoT profile.
There are WoT achievements to collect, if that is your thing.
You can have your actual photo as your avatar in game.
You can have a custom number plate on the truck.
One negative if you crash and call a tow truck that job is abandoned, but that is most probably what would happen in real life.
All WoT jobs are limited on top speed 65mph in ATS and 90kph in ETS2.
Biggest Pros:
You can drive a bit more leisurely as the time shown in the job to complete is in real time. You can stop and check out those viewpoints if you wish or take a more scenic route to your destination.
Events give you free items like interior items or paint jobs if you complete them.
Biggest Cons:
You're speed is limited to 65 mph (or it's kph equivalent).
The clock keeps ticking if you go offline while on a job. You can fail the job if you don't return in time.
Then major holidays have had them. Halloween, Christmas.
FWIW it is a flat 40% - you will get fined the same amount for being one minute late as for being 48 hours late
