Not a bad idea. One could add trailer ownership with it: You'll take a job which requires let's say 160,000 lb of a certain load. You haul it to one place (B), try to find a load for the trip back to A and then haul your second part of the load to B again and so on...
+1 on the trailer ownership idea.
awesome you think my ideas would add value to the game.. and i agree with GBBEME..
well the DOCK TUG would also train drivers who doesnt know how to park a rig.. I mean, how do you add it in the game you ask? the more trailers you move from the parking lot to the dock, the more money you get.
So the pros get more money, the people that wants to train, they still get money but obviously they get trained parking rigs in small spaces. :D
Yes I agree another +1 to the trailer idea!! BUT Nothing is free in the real world, and since this is a simulation, YOU HAVE TO BUY YOUR OWN TRAILER FOR A DEDICATED ROUTE!!! hahahahaha
which only means you have to dish out $100K to buy your own so you can connect it to your tractor :D
Hey we are making great ideas, just up to the modding community to listen to us.. :D
1. Can't be done. This would require a 1:1 scale yard, so it won't be in the default game. However, if someone wants to make a map mod for this purpose, nothing stops them from doing that in the first place.
2. Probably can't be done either. And I think this has to do with how jobs are randomly generated, so in the current state, this can't be done at all.
3. This one is more of I'm not really interested in it. I don't think it'd be good for the game, but at the same time, I don't know.
LTL means "less than load", so you'd go make multiple pickups on the same trailer (or possibly only one pickup) and then multiple delivery destinations. Many American trucks operate this way almost exclusively. Yellow-Roadway comes to mind, but I'm sure there are others.
