I have an rtx 2060 with 6gb vram and 16gb sys ram i7 1050h processor and getitng 30 fps please help
I am only running the rollin 389 from joel collins and his trailer and no other mods and I am getting 28 to 30 fps going through waco and everything is set on high and my resolution scaling is set to a 100% idk how to fix this but its getting to the point that i can't play the game over lag. I have tried a base game no mods and still get about the same in the game.

before texas update i was pushing close to 60fps and getting close to 60fps in game sometimes it would go down to 48 to 55 but was never this low. in bigger cities in texas and even in other states, it goes down to the 20s to the point i lag really bad and the graphics already look low end now and kinda blah because of having to dumb everything down.

the mirror distance is set to medium and everything disappears into a grey cloud behind me in the mirrors. i have pedestrians turned off and have vegetation turned to medium idk what else to do here. i shouldn't have to play on low graphics for my computer. it should run everything fairly well.

I think that SCS should do a an update to fix the lag in Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Texas.
Those are the problem areas on my map.
Would be a good thing.:steamhappy:

I figure from your processor that this is a laptop.
Windows 10 or 11? Reason for the question, win 11 had a recent update that all but crippled gaming performance on nvidia cards. Both have recently issued updates to fix the issue.
Are all drivers up to date?
Mobile 2060 and desktop 2060 are not created equal.
Have you checked the temps of CPU and GPU?

There is nothing for SCS to fix, their game runs fine with the proper hardware.
Mods are another issue and not their problem.

I know this is not what you want to hear and I say this with all the kindness I can muster.
Your laptop is two years old and the game has changed a lot in those two years.
I felt the pain also and had to upgrade from a Ryzen 2600 to 5600 and a 1050ti to a6700xt to keep the performance I was happy with.
Those are desktop upgrades and not laptop upgrades which are always scaled down from their big brothers.
Again I know it's not good news but that's what it is.

My computer is from 2014 and runs everything fine. Its a desktop of course but it blows my mind that it seems to run this game better than many newer systems.

Sorry I missed the windows 11 mention.
The update is not automatic and has to be installed manually through windows update.

This game would benefit from a FSR/DLSS update.

First the game engine needs to be updated to support DX12.

Also this game only runs on one core only, so if your running a low end, low clock cpu, it will run rather poorly.

Are you sure the game is not running on your integrated GPU?
