Dedicated Server
I downloaded the dedicated server it instantly closes the app w/o much explanation, I own everything I need to have a server. What do I need to do to get it working?

Tried reading the server_readme.txt, most software comes with a readme or are straight forward and auto generate the files necessary.

In this case; You need to enable developer/console in-game and run the specified command to generate the required files, you'll upload them to the appropriate location on the machine hosting, and then run &stop the server, modify the server_config.sii it generated.

At that point you'll probably wanna make yourself an admin; Modify the below steamID's and set the moderator_list value to however many admins you have.

in game hit ` and type export_server_packages and after that go into your Documents\American Truck Simulator and you will find your server_config.sii just copy and paste it into your server folder

You use SteamCMD. Its a commandline executable for downloading server software from steam.

The AppID is posted in the announcement for both ETS2 and ATS

at the top of your steam library check the tool dropdown and the ats dedi server will show install it then dont run it yet first go ingame When game is running press `~` to open console and run `export_server_packages` then go to Documents\American Truck Simulator and look for server_config.sii and copy it and paste it in your ats dedicated server folder adjust all the config to the way you want then run the server done.

It requires the Console to be enabled. In your Documents/ATS/config.cfg, change the line with console to 1, and dev to 1. Then the thing will open when you press the Grave (`) key.

Where is the ats dedicated server folder located?

Once you installed the server, the default Steam directory location would be:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\American Truck Simulator Dedicated Server

I'm not sure what is going on but the server rule in the convoy browser are not matching what I have set in my dedicated server. In the server console they look fine but in game they display incorrectly. For example I have the player damage disabled but in the browser it shows it as true.

Anybody encounter this? I have yet to have anyone outside of myself connect so I don't know if the rule is functional or not.
