If you want to drive a car, the Skoda Superb is the one you're looking for and you can find it on the workshop.
Regarding driving other vehicles, you just need to download and then install them from a web site. There are a lot more available for ETS2 than ATS but there are a few I have seen for ATS. Cars and buses, cars you just drive and nothing else but the buses have extra mods which add passengers so you can pick up and deliver passengers. I think the buses are mainly for ETS2 as SCS plans on adding a Coach Simulator DLC for ETS2 at some time in the future and there are already bus stops on the ETS2 map.
Anyway, check the mod sites like https://ets2.lt/en/ and https://www.modland.net/american-truck-simulator-mods/
Thanks for the info about those mods being allowed. I am sure if other players read this thread that info will be good to know if they are thinking about playing multiplayer.
