Employee training...
If I leave my employees on balanced training will they still level up all the skills just at a slower pace? Its starting to get a bit tedious babysitting their level ups and I don't mind waiting a little extra time for.

Yes, when left on "Balanced" they will progress a point at a time in the lowest skill they have until all skills are even, then they add a point into each skill in the order they are on-screen until finally maxing them all out.

Balanced doesn't impact how fast they're skilling up, just what skill will be next.

True, but if on Balanced their LD skill (for example) will take much longer to max out. That's what I understood the question to be asking. :)

Nope, the Long Distance perk points are the best to level up first, since the loads are more valuable for lower XP drivers sooner, and the XP leveling is faster with more Long Distance points. Always has been this way. Level up the other perks like High Value after Long Distance.

Yeah, I generally set htem all to Long Distance until it is maxed and then set them to balanced.

Though, I play a lot on the MP version and your drivers are still logging hours when you're not logged in so they level up quite a lot quicker than the SP version.

In my experience leaving them on balanced until they have a level or two in most areas works best. If you max them on long distance first before they have the other skills they can cost you a fortune returning empty when they can't find a load that is within their skill set to haul. Loaded or empty you still have to pay them their fuel and maintainence costs.

It would be cool to have a "Train Driver" feature where you could spend $10-20k to send a driver to school for a day to gain a point or two.
