Brake Pedal Always Fully Active [FIXED]

When I create a new profile in American Truck Simulator and I start driving it is all ok, but when I let go of the accelerator the truck does an emergency stop, when I check the controls it shows the brake pedal fully activated. Please Help it is annoying

It sounds like your brake and accelerator are on the same axis, like a golf cart. You'll need to separate the axis so that the brake gets one and the accelerator another.

You have not said what controller you are using. I suggest you set up your controller using the wizard and as Twelvefield suggested, make sure your brake and accelerator are not on the same axis. They both should be set to inverted and operate independently.

If I remember correctly it is changed in the Logitech Profiler software.
It's been years since using Logitech stuff so I may be wrong.

Use the wizard, make sure you press each multiple times. If it still doesn't operate correcly then check for an update for your controller and check it's calibration.

There is a setting to invert the input. Do that.

This is driving me INSANE!!!! throttle fine brake fine, when it gets into the game the truck reverses! i go onto setting and the brake is fully on and cannot be undone, tried inverted centre the lot. no issues on ETS2 just ATS! any ideas

Since you have tried to invert the peddles but have been unsuccessful i'm going to recommend that you delete the controls.sii file in your profile folder.

You should be able to copy and paste your ETS2 controls.sii file into ATS without any issues. Or you can simply delete the controls.sii file and then set up everything in game again.
