Disable H-Shifter
I recently performed a fresh install of Windows (as I do every 6 months due to alpha/beta testing). Due to my disability, I can't use steering wheels with a clutch since I use my hands to control the pedals and steering wheel. I am currently using my old but dependable Logitech GT.

Before the reinstall I had no problems with conflicts with binded buttons. Now it seems that regardless how I configure my wheel, the H-Shifter is active along with various wheel buttons that can't be unbound or binded to something else.

This causes a lot of problems with enjoying the game. Since I only have two hands, it's asking a little too much to use the wheel, pedals, and keyboard. Is there a way to disable the H-Shifter or at least reassign the buttons to remedy the conflicts?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I believe, though I haven't checked the settings after reading your post, that there is a setting which allows you to choose which transmission shifter you want so you can choose between h-shifter and real automatic.

Edit: Also, I'm not sure if the Logitech GT can use it, but the Logitech Profiler has the ability to rebind buttons globally so it works across games and such. You can just bind the buttons to keyboard inputs and all will be good.

xpadder also works very good for just about anything. You can re bind keys, have multiple commands assigned to keys by holding down a button a but longer, have multiple key layouts that you can change to by a touch of a button and etc. You can make it complex or simple as you like.

I've tried changing the transmission to every possible setting. The H-Shifter binds somehow remain active. I'm not exactly sure why this changed so drastically due to a reinstall. I saved my profile as well as tried creating a new profile both leading to the same results. I know that the GT will work as I've used it successfully with ETS2 and now ATS.

The Logitech Profiler is probably the only viable option which I previously overlooked. I'm used to simply going into a game and configuring them as needed. I'm not exactly sure why SCS "hard bound" these particular commands,

Thanks for the quick response. It is appreciated.

Thanks. I'll definitely look into that.
