Actual Truckers Please Read! Tonopah Expert Needed!

Here's a post on r/creepy about a cute lil' clown motel near Tonopah. Have any of you who drove through that place before seen it? If so, what can be said about the place? As this post wrote: "Yeah, and a bunch of the people there died of some weird plague. I honestly hate Tonopah enough as it is, what with the gnarly wind constantly blowing, but the clown motel and plague cemetery put it high in the running for worst places ever."

How was there really a plague, and is it really a rundown town?

Tonopah is a small desert town of only 2.500 ppl, and the County Seat of Nye County. Some would consider it run down, but its no where near a ghost town or anything,

Dont know anything about the Clown Motel.

I prefer Ronstadt's version (as heard in The Abyss) but that's just me. :-)

I agree they should include Tehachapi though. Then you could unlock the "Willin'" achievement for visiting/making deliveries to all four T cities. lol

Ah gotcha. Is there a time limit or something for posting? I had Steam yell at me the other day with a similar wording. Something about necroing a thread on the Xcom 2 boards about a bug/crash I just started getting. Never did find out how to fix the bug either. :-/

Last time I was in Tonopah was in the mid-80's. I remember two things. The local newspaper article framed on the wall of a diner with a picture of a triangular aircraft in flight talking about UFO's. Later, this turned out to be part of Project HAVE BLUE, aka the F-117 Stealth Fighter program, at the same base that Constant Peg(US pilots flying MiGs to teach other US pilots what they can do) was operated out in in the Tonopah Test Range. The other thing is that the road from Ely, US Route 6, you come around a mountain going to Tonopah and there's visible 30 miles of ruler-straight road spanning a valley interrupted only by the occasional cow-catcher.

There is not an actual time limit. However, most of the time, an old post is not something to comment on. For this one, Tonopah is completely different now than it was when the post was made, so adding to it no longer had any real value, since the OP is out of date now. It is one thing to Necro a thread to expand on it more, answering something new (and related). Most of the time, starting a new post will get you the same, if not more, information though.
