steering wheel size in game and real life
i have noticed that the "default" steering wheel change size acordding to each truck brand... in real life this size difference exists? not big deal for me, but just a doubt

In the day a huge wheel would be easier to turn, a small wheel would turn quicker, and drivers might have a preference. Modern steering (power and variable ratio) has largely done away with size being a practical issue.

to be honest i never really paid that much attention to the size of the steering wheel.
i use a spinner on my steering wheel when backing or in a tight space just due to the speed that it can do rapid changes.

Sandhill is correct. Steering wheel diameter changed with new technology. Changed the drag link. Could order with manual, air assist or power steering. If ordering a tractor. Example (Extended Hood) 172 inch hood typically add air assist engage from manual steering to air assist. Be used when parking or backing up. Power steering old school steering wheels was 20 inches. . Example 1974 Pete 359. 20 inch wheel. At some poing they stopped MFG air assist. Not sure what year they changed the diameter to 18 inch wheel. 1990 359 Pete has a 18 inch wheel typically power steering. Not sure when they started making custom wheels?

Have A Great Day.

It used to be a requirement that if power steering was lost, you should still be able to steer. Hence the need for the large steering wheels - obviously a lot of force would be required but at least you shouldn't lose control of the truck. That requirement must have been dropped since, at some point. Or manufacturers are stretching the rule.
I did some truck driving in the eighties and the older trucks (from the seventies) hadn't such powerful power steering so you needed that large steering wheel anyway.
